    Mr Edward Lim, skating instructor

Oh by the way, did I ever mention that I'm back on skates? (:
    I'm CHAO duper happy!
    I have a COACH.
Who's very very very very very very very very X 1849732890215732894574891504735891370458945701489 strict, I promise.
    But he's good.
I went for my second lesson today, at East Coast Park.
    My parents are really nice.
East Coast Park is MILES away from my house, I live much nearer to west coast.
But east coast park is where all the coaches are!
And if you want to learn skating, save your money!
Try it on your own a couple of times and find your balance until you can move around by STEPPING quite comfortably.
Then you can go find a coach.
For me I went to the skatesports place at east coast park next to the skating rink.
It's really really cheap, $98 for a month, and you can come for 4 lessons on weekends (added together) with free skate and gear rental.
And if you add (I think) $10, you can attend classes on (I think) Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights too!
    Cheap, but not great.
    SO
My parents decided to up their budget.
    To $150 for 4 1h 30min lessons.
Last time my lessons were 1h.
    The price is up.
    AND THE RESULTS ARE UP!
Okay last week the instructor didn't really think I could skate properly so he made me do small steps and some penguin walk thing.
If you meet me at east coast park, you can ask me to show you what I mean!
    THIS WEEK, WHOA.
    I'm duper happy!
He was at a sloping area, so he asked me,"How many lessons?"
    I said, "one."
    So he said, "Okay, go!"
    AND I was like HARH?
And he said, "CAN! Everything also CAN!"
SO I skated up the slope.
    And he said.
    Okay, now come down.
    Then he demo-ed.
    And I tried.
    Scary! xD
Fortunately I have parents who believe that everything can be done and didn't stop him and say it was too dangerous or something!
And then, he said, "Now, I want you to brake halfway down."
    Scary again.
And then he made me do some jogging step slalom-style (zigzag) around the cones, down slope. That wasn't too bad.
And after that he made me do heel stop 2, the toe-roll one, where you roll on the toe wheel of your left skate and brake.
    Not too bad.
And then he said, "TOE ROLL DOWNSLOPE, and then brake halfway."
    Ohmygoodness. It was seriously hard.
After trying and trying and trying, got it (:
And then he really tried to push to the limit.
"I'll teach you heel stop 3"
    YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS???
You lift up your left skate, and then you brake until you stop.
    SCARY??!!
    SURE.
So I kind of did it, not very very very well.
And he was like, "Try it on the slope?"
    NO WAY.
    NO WAY.
    I politely declined his offer.
Oh by the way, he teaches in classes of 3-6.
But somehow is able to teach so much in 1.5h!!
    Goodness.
In skatesports I learnt toe roll in one lesson, and heel stop 2 in another lesson!
    And not down a slope!
But of course with experience comes confidence.
And since a large part of skating is psychological.........
I don't know how to continue.
    HAHAHA.
    Wellllll, bye!
I don't feel like typing more.
