In geography, we're doing agriculture, which is highly interesting. GONE are the days when we have to like CRAM word-for-word stuff into our brains (I was tempted to type puny, but I didn't want to curse anyone!) But in agriculture, we also learn about the green revolution and about the genetically modified rice that is used. I'm against GM and stuff, I'm more naturalist/environmentalist-y and believe God's creation is the best (:
There was this part of a video clip Mrs Mohd showed us (that inspired this post) which says, "Traditional rice grains grow more and more resistant to pests and the other elements. Over time, they adapt." I think mankind is trying to play God, trying to make rice resistant to pest and stuff and adding animal cells into plant cells and stuff. Though harmful effects are not evident now, I'm sure there ARE negative effects of eating GM food. But when like everything we eat is GM, not like we can help it. Actually just watching the clip makes me feel like doing those kind of theological/scientific research. I think it's super cool to do that kind of thing! (: Haha I'm a science-y person, not much human-s in me xP
Anyway yea. I don't feel as strongly as I did when I watched the clip and jotted down the 'to blog' notes so I can't write much, but if I wrote the whole post in class and simply had to type it now, it would be very strong in opinion I guess.
